Small Tropical Island Art Guide! [Difficulty 0/10 or ⬜]

Hey! Welcome to my first ever Community Made Guides !
As some of you might know, I love things with a piratey theme.
So, this guide will show you how to make tropical islands, like those you might sea (get it?) in media like Pirates of the Caribbean or Sea of Thieves .

Setup

First, you will need to set up your map. In this case, this is relatively simple. Go to map options and set the background to water, like so:

That’s it for setup!

Island base

Now that you’ve completed the Setup, it’s time for the basic island. Make a base of sand in the shape of your island (Get creative! From a crescent to just a blob of nothing, make it whatever you want!) on layer 1, like so:

Then, put another sand layer one tile away from the first on layer 2, like so:

Now, let’s add the final thing before the next part! Add some grass scattered around the center in layer 3. This will be the base for your props and foliage. It should look like this:

Props, Foliage, and Final Additions

Now for the last step!
Add whatever props you wish!
I would recommend at least adding some plants and trees to the grassy areas like so:

But anything that you want!
Some ideas could be barrels, a dock, lights, etc.
The final product should look similar to this:

Thanks for reading!
(Any constructive criticism in replies is very welcome)

Also: This guide is from a map I’m working on based on Sea of Thieves. I hope to have more guides about things like a port and shops very soon!

Just what I needed! I tried to make a custom palm tree and eventually gave up. Thanks so much! I’ll make sure to credit you once I add it

Your welcome, and thanks! But most art is around 0/10, only if it has a lot of layering hex colors and coustom props designs is it more.
