Memory is a way to measure how “complete” your map is in terms of devices. Each device has an assigned value of memory and when you place one, it increases the used memory amount of your map.
This system is in place so people don’t try to lag out or use too much server space in Gimkit.
If you’re curious to do some further reading, check out these links.
Use channels instead of wires
Wires are 10 memory, while channels are free
Check if any devices aren’t being used
If they don’t have a function they are just a waste
Delete areas that the player can’t see or access
Props and terrain cost memory, so if they can’t be seen, delete them
Try and figure out better ways to do things (Ask on the forums!)
Sometimes there is a more efficient way to do something
When layering terrain only make it one deep
You only need the bottom layer o…
Memory is the most valuable resource in Creative. We can basically all agree on this. No matter your skill level, you’ve probably wanted more memory in the past, or not had enough. It leads to amazing projects getting cut off, things getting cancelled because of pure scale, when they could be the best Creative game ever made.
Today, we start solving that problem. Here’s a bunch of ways to save memory, and save some hassle too!
GENERAL TIPS:
Channels over wires - channels are almost always th…
Devices are a staple to any mechanic in a gimkit game. However, you only have 100,000 memory per map to use in a game! So use your memory wisely…
To avoid using too many memory intensive devices, here is a list of devices and terrain, ranked from top to bottom, by memory usage.
Devices over 100 memory
Devices over 10 memory
Devices that take up 10 memory
Devices under 10 memory.
*The Sentry is Listed Twice, under 1000 and 500 memory, because the first sentry placed will take up 1000 memory…

The goal of this guide is to rank devices from memory. You only have 100,000 memory, so this could be useful for calculating how much memory a device has.

Nope. There isn’t any way to bypass memory. But you can try to save memory with some of the links @Turtle provided.

Would’ve closed a couple minutes ago but someone brought up something kind of unrelated.
