So I had an idea about using custom item pseudo trails as the sentry visual and using sentry pseudo projectile and pseudo hp. Would this work?
Bro tug is for The Ultimate Guide
And this is not a guide. It’s a concept.
i didnt know ok
Ai isnt allowed.
this was before the new rules
Okay? You are being told AI isn’t allowed now, regardless of when you posted it.
Guys don’t go off topic arguing. Please help the topic.
Well, I will update it to a device topic tmr but the movement, I tested it, is quite smooth until it uhh starts lagging and crashes at multiplayer.
It would work, but it would be laggy and probably not very smooth. Nothing is impossible, but there are lots of things that are impractical. aw yeah Ars quote
This topic seems interesting and is a good combination of pseudo concepts and animations, so I think it calls for further investigation
Edit: If I have time I might try to create this and send some screenshots but don’t trust me I suck at code
Im ur more evil twin
General ideas are good
A few problems:
1.spawning sentries will minimize it at first, and it just visually looks weird
2.you would need alllllot of properties
3.the trail guide does not work for sentries, although I’m not exactly sure what you are using trails for
Yes, devices
?
Not really actually “spawning” the sentry but using the a custom item trail to emulate movement the item trail would visualise where the sentry is and all the we track the player’s past position and link it to the sentry then linking it up to a system that damages the player by chance using an accuracy property. And if this is like most single player games pseudo health would also be possible. The damage system does not have a visual but sentry particle effects seem possible. The damage system can also be modified to adapt to the player such as improving accuracy and on-hit implosion. Hit detection is possible due to the use of properties instead of gadgets.
I have no idea how to link a pseudo sentry health.
Slowmode so you can’t turn it off.
If possible someone turn it off.
I agree with Astral. You shouldn’t reply to topics with the only intention of criticizing others and being off topic. If you don’t have anything to help, get out of this topic.
I also found this topic from a while back. You might want to check it out.
I literally made a note on the topic. I think it came off wrong, but I did contribute, and am still researching.
Obviously I have to say this again because it got flagged:
Moving sentries have been a thing for a while, and trying to make it in-game just looks crummy. It’s been a generational issue. It’s Gimkit’s vertical slab issue.
Now, since I’m gonna get flamed for just adding that, I’ll say this too:
It’s possible, you could really just use this, say if you were doing it for a cutscene.
