Guys, I just started gimkit a few months ago, but I only know how to use the simple things. I just don’t know how to use the blocks! Can someone please teach me in the chat. I really need help and I’ll appreciate it. If I learn how, it could be a game changer!
Do you need help with the blocks in any specific device?
if you need to, I can hotlink some block code guides.
Summary
Essence of Block Code: An Introduction to the Interface
The journey of block code: a in-depth guide on block code! The introduction
Essence of Block Code: An Introduction to Variables and Logic
these may not have their images, but the context should suffice in some cases.
The device i want help in with the blocks is the item granter. I want it to go like when you take the item, the boss is activated. And if you DON’T take the item, the boss is not activated. Also when you defeat the boss a barrier is deactivated so you can go through, but if you dont take the item the barrier is not activated.
This is the last thing before I publish my game. So just… reply fast.
So, an optional boss fight. I would use an inventory item manager that tracks the item you’re using. When the amount of the item changes, send on a channel that activates the barrier, starts the boss fight and also deactivates the inventory item manager so the system doesn’t break. When you knock out the boss, deactivate the barrier.
Please send a screenshot.

Blocks of code are good and they are very useful, but you need experience, in general you need to learn most devices in order to gain experience. Start with small projects that you would like to do, if you do not know what you want, just write in the search “map ideas” and you will get several guides that will help you with the ideas. If you really need help with blocks, I can’t advise you anything because many guides have lost images as a result of restarting the forum (well, or clearing the forum is not, I know how to say it) and I don’t really understand them either (I just don’t use them)
Can’t. It really isn’t that hard. Just place down an inventory item manager and try to figure it out.
here ya go, this should help. there’s no images though
edit: @Kat_aronii beat me to it
Or maybe just stick to devices and read a lot of guides until you get it
