Hey y’all, how are we doing?
…
Okay, so basically staff have not confirmed the actual “awards” part of the gimkit awards, so we’re going to have to push them back until further notice.
This means a couple of things.
First, it means that you should not expect us to release nominations until further notice. That’s not so big of a deal.
Secondly, it means that there is still a potential for the gimbuck prize to simply not happen. If that ends up being the case, there’s a good chance we can round up a few people so we can give out season tickets, or something similar. Maybe we go without awards, but again, don’t assume anything until further notice.
Thirdly… weird word, anyways… it means that we no longer have a schedule for the awards. That means they very well might not happen in april, though we are still hopeful that we can meet some of our old deadlines.
Okay. That seems to be everything for now. You’ll be able to comment on this topic for about the next three days, and a 5 minute slowmode will be on until further notice (as long as I can manage to do that).
To say I would be beyond furious if I realized this had happened would be an understatement. Under no circumstances, no matter how upset you got, no matter how many inconveniences, should you ever, ever mass email team gimkit.
I completely understand this has innocent intentions, but I absolutely cannot endorse nor support this.
Most likely. If we can make the season tickets work (in the case in which it is necessary to use them), then I see no reason why we wouldn’t do this.
hmm, I wonder what’s going on internally at Gimkit, I haven’t seen a post from any of Team Gimkit in the forums for a while, and I mean there hasn’t really been a big update since Apocalypse was added (unless the shop is a massive update), but ofc I’m not active in the Discord so…
I think that they just have a lot to deal with. They are perfecting and making new packs, working on new modes to keep interest in Gimkit up, and adding stuff into Creative to keep us monsters satiated
just fyi arguing “pro-gimcoin” is “pro-plagiarism” here lol
Remember the “not making assumptions” thing?
Nah, but seriously, this doesn’t mean anything for the future of the gimkit awards. The absolute worst possible thing, the singular worst case scenario, (WHICH I MIND YOU IS NOT THE CURRENT SITUATION SO DO NOT ASSUME IT IS THE CURRENT SITUATION PURELY BECAUSE I AM MENTIONING IT AS A POSSIBILITY) would be that the staff say they don’t want to get involved in the awards from here on. That just means prizes may not exist going forwards IF THAT IS THE CASE.
If I had to make a serious assumption, they’re working hard on finishing up the new creative features and the new game mode for this season. I have seen some of the stuff they’re working on, and it seems pretty cool (no spoilers).
We could, but I’d rather have everything happen at the same time, purely for logistical reasons. It’d be making stuff more complicated than it needs to be to separate everything.
So it will most likely be determined before the end of May?
Because if not, then IDK how I’ll be able to vote because I won’t have my school computer and my home computers are locked with out my parents putting in a code (and my parents don’t like me on social media, even though I told them this is not technically social media, LOL)
Man it’s got it’s own category, I didn’t think this was gonna be a problem.
So I’m not going to.
Just so we’re clear.
If you comment on here, I really do expect you to understand the general idea of what the awards are.
There is a FAQ post if they don’t, which is very easy to find if you put in effort to actually try, which I fully expect you to do if you don’t understand the awards.
If you couldn’t tell, I’m getting tired of people asking about this.
