I suggest we use letters (two or three) that represent the thing we are trying to represent, so we don’t have to memorize hundreds of symbols to talk about devices in Fast GKC Notation.

Tri for Trigger
Ig for Item Granter
Zn for Zone

Just one or two letters causes me to play a HUGE guessing game on what they mean.

Why not just use t. for trigger?

Let’s be nice here. This is a community, not a rivalry

T could be tag zone.

Tag zone also starts with t.

No that’s stupid. There’s no community here. Tell that to the ban speedrunner here not me ok? @ClicClac should pseudo property be psdo or ps?

Toag zone isn’t really used though.

They already have abbreviations as p_p.

It still exists, so we can’t just call trigger t.

Why not call it tr then?

At that point you might as well use three letters. Trigger

But it is used. You can’t skip over a device. tag-domination? There are 12 topics, not 1!

Sure. Or we could use a special character. ⟐

I feel like it is useless arguing.

Yeah, but 40+ special characters that we have to memorize is going to discourage people from using this new notation, me included. This is why the other couple notations that we made back in June-July didn’t pan out.

This is a civilized discussion about how to properly represent GKC devices in a new notation.
