As for the lobby, maybe you can do some barrier art of those cat plushie things Aphmau was selling?

Maybe tell what maps they’re to get the hiders prepared to where they think they can hide?

It looks a little flat. I would suggest adding more props to make it look 3d and more… Uhm… Pleasing to the eye.
Also, add some variation and color to your text. This’ll make it look more interesting.
For updates, I would just have a room to teleport to to look at updates. Having too much text in the lobby makes it look messy, and putting the updates text in a different room would clean it up a bit.
I would also add the title in a large font at the top, with the credits or description below it.
Lastly, the little doodles are cute lmao, but they’re also kinda messy. Maybe have another designated room you can teleport to to see them. Maybe call it, the "Doodle Room’'.

So, I do like that idea, but there’s ONE problem… This little room won’t be in the actual game, only when the game hasn’t started. Game Mechanics don’t work pre-game.
Ah ok, then take everything besides the teleportation into consideration.
you might want to add a different Font (like Fugaz One), it makes the waiting room look better imo

Teleporters work pregame if you use the teleporter groups!
Yea, I know Thats_Gimpossible already said this but,

They are actually one of the few devices that can work in game (Im pretty sure there are more but I forgot).

The walls look super ugly because they blend with the floor, how do you fix that? Change the layer of the wall, just look in the bottom right corner of your screen while placing a terrain to find the layer option.
Edit - @Zappy_Zaptos, the OP said its for their Aphmau game which is supposed to be all purple I guess?
You could change the handwriting, make it look more appealing!
