So, I want to make a boss fight that involves going up a tower, dodging a sentry, while there’s lasers attacking you, using sentries to go up, and ultimately fighting a final boss that makes you take your time with a 0.25x damage multiplier on you, making you take your time. I want to add lasers and a health bar, got anything to help?
this is in platformer mode btw
Health bar guide.
oh thank you! I will try to make that.
but that leaves the problem of the lasers… how am I going to manage that? talking to myself
You could have zones linked to lasers, so that once the player enters the lasers turn on and off, quickly. It doesn’t repeat.
Every time the player enters do they fire.
the lasers are meant to be like a random pattern of activation, and just activate on their own.
…Oh.
Well, try this guide. It’s simpler than using a block to randomize things. Make sure to use channels instead of wires! (Totally not self-promoting)
The lasers receive the channel signal to burst.
oh okay! thank you! I will read and learn how to make this happen!
Woah, woah, woah there Jamal. No offense, but your arena is in serious need of improvement. First of all, the arena is way too thin and way too tall to actually be fit for a bossfight. What I suggest would be to make it more of a wider area with a slightly lower ceiling than the one you currently have. Second of all, the Dynamic Diamond platform definitely doesn’t fit with the Catwalk. Change the platform to either Catwalk or a different terrain that fits the theme. Third of all, why are there respawn zones and damagers lining the walls? Unless your bossfight is meant to be insanely hard, then I suggest you remove them.
this is meant to be unfair, the sentry’s name is “The Developer”. All those zones will insta unalive you if you enter them.
Well you could amplify it a bit to follow commanderGOATS recommendation but you can still imply the hard aspects as much as you want
Oh, okay…but still, arena size looks out of proportion + Diamond blocks look bad, but you don’t need to follow my advice since it’s your map, not mine.
