A Randomizer... With No Blocks! 🤯

Total Memory: 125-230![1] :exploding_head:

Mind-blowing, right?
This was an accidental discovery when building a Crit Chance system!

Devices

3x Wire Repeater[2]
2x Counter
1x Lifecycle
1x Property
and 1x Checker if you’ll actually use this

Step 1

Lifecycle (Game Start) > 1st Wire Repeater [3]

Step 2

Make a Wire Repeater Clock with 1st and 2nd Wire Repeater (0.1 Delay Each)

Step 3

Make a property named chance (or critchance in my case)

Step 4

1st Wire Repeater > Increment 1st Counter (NEW!) [4]

2nd Wire Repeater > Increment 1st Counter

Step 5

1st and 2nd Wire Repeater > Increment 2nd Counter (NEW!) [5]

Step 6

1st Counter (Target Value Reached) > 3rd Wire Repeater (NEW!)

Step 7

3rd Wire Repeater > Reset 1st and 2nd Counter

[6]

AND YOU NOW HAVE A RANDOMIZER WITHOUT BLOCKS!
This does run for the whole game, though.

[Build-pleasse] HAS BEEN WYWY’D

Peace and quiet until Christmas! Yaaaaay!

  1. If you use all triggers it’s 230 ↩︎

  2. or trigger ↩︎

  3. 55 memory ↩︎

  4. This has a target value. The number you put in will separate 100% into that many parts, for example, 4 is a 25% chance, 5 is 20%, and 10 is 10%. ↩︎

  5. This updates the property mentioned earlier. The highest it goes is the target value of the 1st counter. ↩︎

  6. Just now realized I didn’t have that part finished, sorry lol ↩︎

I think I might just be sure to use this…after all I am not a blocks guy…

Yes.

DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN REPLACE THE WIRE REPEATERS WITH TRIGGERS, AND THEN YOU CAN ACTIVATE AND DEACTIVATE THE TRIGGERS!?

Yeah that just works better

Check this out.

In the hidden 3 dot menu, it says:
“If you use all triggers it’s 230”
At the top.

This is a great guide! Question, which app do you use to draw on the images? It would help me a lot in future guides I make.

I just use Canva.

Wouldn’t the property device count as a block? The property device makes a block when named, however it isn’t haven’t attached to any block code.

It isn’t a block itself, it just activates a block.

Revolutionary!
Yes, now It is time to start the revolution!

How do you create that dropdown?

Does this work by having the number change all the time and by assuming that the time that you check the property is random?

Yep.
It just… runs all day…
Unless you use triggers.
