1. Visual Enjoyment
So, I’ve seen so many trending bossfights with just an overpowered sentry, and you can just do whatever and it just has a background of grass. It’s terrible, and that’s not what a bossfight is. You want a good mixture, like the wasteland terrain(all types) and those nuclear bunkers and the nuclear barrels. Maybe even gasoline bottles.
Examples:
(note: all props should have no collision if they’re in the middle of the battlefield. Those bookcases in the second example can have no collision.)
2. Good Graphics
You want some moves on the boss. Like, you don’t want some random big sentry with a legendary pixelator blasting you. For this, I usually use a trigger loop. The blocks are just broadcasting random channels, but it does something. It makes things that deal damage (triggers, zones, lasers, etc. ) flash in and out, creating a cool effect that makes it enjoyable.

3. Bossfight Balance
You do NOT want your bossfight to be too overpowered. You also don’t want it to have to little health, or have a move that makes it impossible to even do anything before dying. You want the perfect amount of balance, so that people don’t rage, or beat it too easily.
4. Theme
You want a theme, and the bossfight should fit. Like, the sentry can’t be frostington at the beach. It has to match, and be pretty consistent with the props.
I will add on to this later, but this is the layout.
