How to make the lights flicker

So, to make the lights flicker, follow these 6 easy steps
You need:

  • Triggers (2)
  • Barrier (1)
  1. (DO THIS TO BOTH TRIGGER) Click on a trigger to modify the settings.
    a. Trigger Delay: 0.1
    b. Visible In-Game: No
    c. Trigger By Player Collision: No
    d. Max Trigger: 10
  2. Use a wire and connect one trigger to the other. Modify that wire to When triggered —> Trigger. Like this:
  3. Use another wire and connect the other trigger to the first trigger. Modify that wire to When triggered —> Trigger. Like this:
  4. Click on the barrier to modify the settings.
    a. Barrier Shape: Rectangle
    b. Active On Game Start: No
    c. Barrier Color: R:0, G:0, B:0
    d. Show Border: No
    e. Alpha: 0.71
    f. Visible In-Game: Yes
    g. Active On Game Start: No
    h. Collision: No
Make sure the barrier’s layer is above player. It should look like this:
  5. Now, use a wire and connect one trigger to the barrier. Modify that wire to When triggered —> Active Barrier. Like this:
  6. And finally, use another wire and connect the other trigger to the same barrier. Modify that wire to When triggered —> Deactive Barrier. Like this

Now you can add something that connects the trigger that activates the barrier so that the trigger triggers

That is it :grinning:!!! How to make the lights flicker

Oh…

Now I regret wasting time on this when there are already multiple of these… :pensive:

That’s alright, just remember to search before you post next time.

I did, but I didn’t see them. That’s why I did this. And another reason, those screenshot doesn’t even load.

my didn’t flicker?

Agreeing with what everyone(Turtle) said, you could also remember that a gif at the end of a guide showing the final product is very helpful. Also, if you take pictures remember not to show the code or state it is invalid.

turtle I just checked those links.

all 3 of their images are corrupted.

this is a better verison.

a gif is now hard these days because Josh decided to lower the gif capacity :pensive:

so I wouldn’t usually bother doing that.

but hey that just me-

struggled 30 mins or more trying to make a gif so I recommend not to do that.

If the images are gone, words are there, words are better than just one sentence and calling it a guide or a guide that just has all words, short and has one picture.
OP of the guide could just restore the pictures or the user could just pay attention to the words and follow the guide.

ain’t the editing time out dated?

also you already know the op is NOT gonna go back just to fix those pic they probably forgot what was there.

gonna be honest but margimkitcreator is sorta right
editing time might be outdated and usually (like my two somewhat helpful topics)
people wont go back and restore their pictures

wait now I think about it.

ain’t pic stronger then words?

how am I gonna understand a bunch a words when a picture is better to understand?

like I would need to know how they did it not just words.

Um, what is going on here?

Isn’t this guide just a trigger loop with barriers involved?

And Turtle stated that this guide has been done before?

Yeah, like I said before

I did search for similar guides, but I didn’t see them. That’s why I did this. Another reason is that those screenshots from other guides don’t even load.

infinite this is a handy guide in my opinion it’s way easier with pictures since I learn visually

honestly a good guide. simple and effective. though there are quite a few other guides with the same idea.
