I still don’t see anything wrong with repeater being the worst, it literally can take like 25% of your map, it can be done with A LOT of other devices (of which have less memory) and to top it off, it doesn’t have block code, so if you wanted block code looped you would have to use a trigger or something else (that most likely can loop on its own) anyways, its almost an entirely useless device. (thats my reasoning for it.)
…is it a little conflict of interest the trigger is the best and one of the worst?
…maybe the idea of overusing the items was misleading, since it seems a little
…iffy with the choices. bottom line, the trigger choices seemed unnecessary.
…keep one in and take one off… ellipses are awesome.
also, cool guide
I see your argument (the same as everybody else’s) but what I’m saying is that ball devices (usually, Blastball is an exception) tend to take away for the game experience. I’m not gonna notice if the player is using a repeater or a trigger or whatever. I know it might take up a bit more memory, but it doesn’t make the game worse, just a tiny bit more memory-intensive.
But to be honest, this guide and it’s voting counterpart are very opinion based. There’s not really any data that this is proved upon, as we can see mainly by trigger being one of the worst and the very best. The data is the community, and some people probably just chose the trigger to be “funny” (same with repeater votes for best).
And let me be clear, I have nothing wrong with repeater being a very close second. And I don’t have an issue with you arguing against the repeater; it’s a good, fair argument.
I just don’t personally have an issue with repeaters (I use them all the time), but I feel like the ball isn’t being gutted nearly as much as the repeater, and not nearly as much as it should be.
So..some people think this guide is opinion-based? I can’t say you’re wrong about that.
But! I went through the comments and did research on each device’s memory and settings to see whether people’s opinions matched factually, so it’s not entirely opinionated.
Yes, some devices ended up being voted for worst and best, and most people definitely agree on the Repeater being the worst. That’s why I wrote the Repeater section the way I did–it’s more relatable and mostly factual.
The voting counterpart was probably right—it could have been opinion based. But to be fair, I made sure whether each device was reasonable and could make sense being voted as the best or worst. I asked for everyone’s opinion, and that’s what mostly what I received, but if anyone was joking, we can’t be entirely sure they were. Everything seemed really reasonable to me.
You are very right. I don’t know if I should rewrite everything to make it sound better or more factual, because if I ended up including evidence, this guide is going to be very long. It is opinionated, but this isn’t exactly forcing anyone to use this, it’s just some fun facts mixed with some opinions to make the GKC experience a little worse (or something else, someone might say.)
This makes no sense
Like what best and 10th worst !!!
Why all the repeater hate, it’s still useful. Only for end when receiving on channel
It’s been a while since I’ve seen a guide made by california_love, lol
This is an awesome guide! Once again, easily hands down the best forum user that can incorporate emojis into their guides, which helps make this guide more fun to read, it’s portioned off well and mostly everything is good besides triggers not being beginner friendly, personally I believe it’s pretty beginner friendly, but it doesn’t really matter lol.
I love how you even did a community vote, not just went off your opinion, but others! Overall, you did amazing on this guide! I would personally find the formatting of this guide to be one of the best.
Loved this guide! Great job!
Yes, I did notice that you did research this. And of course, people might actually not be joking.
I agree with everything you said here. It’s just that everybody is opinionated when voting, so while this isn’t that opinionated because most things you backed with factual evidence. But the results themselves are opinion-based, which of course is not your fault. You wanted to know what the community thought, and their thoughts were opinionated.
Even mine. Look at how I was arguing against the ball being worse than the repeater, but most people are biased against the repeater.
And just in case I forgot to mention; regardless of opinions this or that, it’s a great guide, thanks for getting this out there.
like the guide nice job
I am late but I love this, also… TRIGGER AT WORST AND BEST LET’S GOOOOOO!!!
Great guide! I 100% agree with triggers being the best
Yes, absolutely!
However, that only applies to a certain amount of situations, like a game like blastball, or forest tag. But, it isn’t that bad if you don’t abuse it and overuse it.
Don’t forget!
Text can also run code, making it arguably ahembettercough than the trigger.
umm… me?
not to be man, but trigger is a bad thing, but it is going to be alright for beginners…
if your trying to make lasers use the laser beam manager
if your making appear and disappear block or spinning block use triggers, it takes 80 instead of 800, or use wire repeaters idk how to use them, someone send a guide pls that take up… 10. I am not even joking.
use it if you knoow this will not have a lot of memory.
hope this helps! leave a like if you want !
read the second spoiler.
A-MAZING! This is a 10/10 guide!
Incredible. I love this guide. Everyone is able to see how much effort you put into this! I give it a 9.7/10!
If you use a trigger loop you can just deativate one trigger on a certain channel.
No.
The trigger is a good thing, and the point is to break the bad habits before they become stronger and harder to break.
The repeater is easier, but it helps train people better by using triggers instead.
REally?
What about trigg delays?
and max triggers? imean, yes, u can set targets, but…
wait. thsi is true…
How would u make delay?
