Platformer game help

So, for this platformer game I’m making, I need help on

The final boss (“The Void”)

  • This boss is a huge desolate void
  • I need help on it’s attacks and special abilities
  • It needs to actually feel like a final boss fight to the player

Platformer stages

  • There are a total of 6 stages in this game
  • Each stage is unique and has something special (like a gimmick)
  • Each one increases with difficulty
  • Each stage gets more void-like
  • For structure/game layout purposes, stage three will introduce the first enemies
  • The fourth stage will have harder enemies
  • The fifth stage will introduce a miniboss
  • And the sixth and final stage will have the void boss at the end

Enemy designs

  • So the first set of enemies are called VoidWalkers
  • The second set are VoidVaporizers (they are basically just lasers)
  • The mini boss is VoidChampion (I want a mechanic where the doors close when the player steps into the room of the mini boss and the doors only open when the boss is defeated (I know this part but still need help on)

Thumbnail ideas
*The player is looking up from the ground at the 6 levels leading up to the Void boss
*Everything seems to be going/extending towards the void boss

VoidWalkers could be Ghostumes
VoidVaporizers could be Bonesy
VoidChampion could be an Ozi
and The Void could be Shadeborn (obviously!)

For this, you could add a boss bar to make it like ones from games. (This is just a small idea because I don’t really have long)

Thanks, but I want the Void Boss and champion to be endgame-and-final like.
You know, like how NPC’s are different from bosses. I want to apply a similar feel to those bosses.

How can i do that?

Also, for the thumbnail:

  • I don’t think I can say that (I think it counts as promoting your game, which is against the community guidelines)

  • Player progresses through 6 stages of a Platformer to save a town from the creatures of the Void.

*Setting is dystopian/void space like

*the void walkers, void vaporizers, void champion, and the Void can all be seen

*My idea is that the player is looking up at the towering 6 stages of my Platformer game nervously (the stages go up toward the top like a triangle, stage 1 being at the bottom). Everything seems to connect at the Void, which is at the top of the map.

Changing the size for the champion would do it, but I want something special for the Void boss. And for the thumbnail (if you plan on doing it), whichever one would suit the game’s dystopian - dark - void - space theme.

Sorry if I’m rewriting what other people said but if you want a hand-made thumbnail then you can use this website called Kleki! You can paste images on and draw on it as well! I hope this helps!
