Music in GKC, possible? (partially solved)

A working piano guide using sentries has been created, but other devices still need experimenting

Today I went back to blackholes’s goodbye message and I was thinking about this part:

But how far could we push this statement? Well, music of course! Also, this is not about the stock songs that are already there. At first i was thinking something like Incredibox or Sprunki where you you could use like a gadget to switch which note you would want by using sentries or something. But gadgets dont work like that so we need something else. How about buttons and sentries? Surely that could work right? Ok I’m being honest I dont know if this will work but I want to see if you guys could make it. Alright now let’s see the chaos in the replies.

Well, it would be hard to recreate, say, a piece of music that really exists, but we could sound effects from things to sorta create some.

Some devices I knew could create sounds:

Sentry (Fires gadget)
Sentry (Falls on the ground)
Vending machine
Questioner

etc…

I am just listing some devices that could make sound lol

also I hate sprunki
sprunki sucks

Well there are certain sounds from devices so maybe a song can arise from those

This is true, but we would need like a certain pattern and make it have a specific sound at a specific time. (That’s what AUO is for)

It could be possible… maybe use the Cash get SFX for a sound, or a player jumping off terrain sound?

OH NO NOT SPRUNKI NOT SPRUNKI NO NOT THE BRAINROT HGELP

I was also thinking it could work as a minecraft note block, if you know what I mean

There is a option somewhere when you publish, to choose the game music for your map, so that should be it @Ar3s3nal

They said they wanted to create music, not just use all the ones already available.

being able to make music could be cool

It would! Have any ideas on HOW we could do it? That’s what this topic is for.

Well, an idea would be like a block you place down and you can choose the sound it makes
Edit: Like in a future update.

But as of now you can’t (to my knoweledge) do that in GKC. We’re brainstorming ways to.

I have an idea. Maybe keep multiple tabs open with all of them repeating sound effects in different order?

That’s not practical nor does it accomplish actually making a whole music system within 1 map.

The questioner, vending machine, and reloading sounds are only accessible by the player, so those cannot be used.
The only sounds that require no player interaction are the sentries firing.

Also, each long-range shooter actually creates 2 sounds: one sound when the shooter is fired, and one sound when the projectile hits the ground or an object.

I actually thought of this a while ago. I’m not going to reveal it yet until I’ve tested it, though.

Stay tuned.

why is this happeningggg

What’s with the recent increase of random Devices post?

I mean, I asked for it months ago.
Why do I always regret my wishes…

also were you talking about me

Basically, we need a list of stuff that makes sound.
questionare, vending machine, and some other stuff.
Sadly i cannot test this for u guys, because , umm, reasons im not gona say

Lemme guess, you can’t turn your sound on because of where you are (not going to get in more depth)?

I’ll try it out someday when I have time.

how does one guess…
yk wt, this is off topic. also where i am is private, so im not gona go into depth.
You have any other devices that can make noises?
