without a popup i don’t think so. hopefully they add the npc mechanics from dig it up soon. you could try using this though

I mean, you could use notifications or text instead, if you’re that set on not using properties. You could also use game overlays, or maybe even something even more exotic if you’re willing to use something like morse code (barrier turning on and off). Just get creative!

I made that system using popups a while back at a fixed memory cost but the guide was huge and i never finished it :face_with_diagonal_mouth:.
