I need help creating a save file

as i said (copy+pasted from another topic):
so in a trigger, you’ll want your properties somewhat like this:

you have your properties you want to measure in your save file, and it’s going to all be stored in a property that’ll be for your save file.

some other things:

  • it can be in a different way, such as there being no spaces in between each property value
  • bit more convenient to use number properties for the save file so you don’t need to make a keyboard

some of the replies in here should help as well:

What is a save file? This isn’t like Roblox or Minecraft or whatever…
Edit: I know what a save file is, I’m just asking what it is like in Gimkit.

I tried that, but like I said, it’s not compatible with what I want to save, especially how I set up my rank system.

@BountyHunterX if you’re online I’m ready to start working on this. I have an hour.

yeah you can make fairly complicated saves codes, but with a stat like # of minutes played it would be a long and fairly annoying job. my method worked better for stats with a limited number, like levels, or qualities like class. mine also appeared random, which isn’t really possible with a straight up stat that could be a large number.

also, it took me several hours. it’s generally not worth it, but it does give your game more replay value [see wumpus’ forbidden islands.]

i just read that, and honestly, i don’t think that works. if it’s a truly random code, then a new game of gimkit won’t be able to read and interpret it.

I was just showing @DuhDinoKing2099 an example of a save code.

Sassy Cassy get back here that is so sassy of you to just say that and leave like that…

GodspawnKing so tell me how exactly your system cannot be incorporated with other guides

Most save code guides are for saving items, not properties

This is annoying. Once I solve this and make my save file with whoever helps me, I’m going to make a guide that doesn’t lean towards either one, but both instead. In addition to that problem, my save file would need to save two properties for one of my systems if I’m going to save the player’s rank, which I am.

Is the code posted in my group?
(I only say the post where you said you had 30-40 minutes left…)

How many levels and cash do you expect the player to have? How many different ranks are there and do the ranks have names? This will help me determine what exactly to set up in the block code!

Just a heads up: there will be text blocks like find first occurrence of text: example

side note: I’ve seen in multiple ppl’s bios #slimfortl4 but I didn’t start any of that.
