yeah you can make fairly complicated saves codes, but with a stat like # of minutes played it would be a long and fairly annoying job. my method worked better for stats with a limited number, like levels, or qualities like class. mine also appeared random, which isn’t really possible with a straight up stat that could be a large number.
also, it took me several hours. it’s generally not worth it, but it does give your game more replay value [see wumpus’ forbidden islands.]
i just read that, and honestly, i don’t think that works. if it’s a truly random code, then a new game of gimkit won’t be able to read and interpret it.
This is annoying. Once I solve this and make my save file with whoever helps me, I’m going to make a guide that doesn’t lean towards either one, but both instead. In addition to that problem, my save file would need to save two properties for one of my systems if I’m going to save the player’s rank, which I am.
How many levels and cash do you expect the player to have? How many different ranks are there and do the ranks have names? This will help me determine what exactly to set up in the block code!
Just a heads up: there will be text blocks like find first occurrence of text: example
side note: I’ve seen in multiple ppl’s bios #slimfortl4 but I didn’t start any of that.
