Your not wrong, the thing IS about what NOT TO OVERUSE. Repeater use up a lot more memory than a trigger loop, so even in memory it strikes a hit.

Lots of function. Channels within a device, actual coding to show skill, properties within a device, YOU CAN STEP ON THE DEVICE :exploding_head: I could go on

Tell me how this is worse than a map full of ball devices. And unless itā€™s a sports game, thereā€™s no purpose to have them other than to annoy the player, which is not what you want. And to be fair, the sport games arenā€™t even fun (you canā€™t say Blastball is even close to the other Gimkit maps, no offense, I think the commentary is the most underrated thing in all of Gimkit, itā€™s a truly great feat), so either way the ball is decently useless.


So, from the creator standpoint, I guess you could make a small argument against repeaters, but from the player standpoint, you canā€™t say you want a ball in the game. And if youā€™re the creator, you donā€™t want to annoy your players, so overall, we come to the conclusion that the ball device is the worst, not the repeater.

Letā€™s admit this, okay?
Basically EVERY device except for the repeater has some sort of use. Even the ball, one of the most underused things (for good reason) has a use, which is a budget TF2 payload. The repeater is the exception because it is redundant, and is worse compared to every other option for repeating a signal.

Also toothless, a repeater costs 500 memory. With the 10 max limit, we can take up 5000 memory with those repeaters. Now, thereā€™s 100,000 memory in a map, so 995,000 left. Ball devices take 1000 memory, so with the max repeaters-
We can still have 995 ball devices in our map
Edit: Itā€™s too late, my brain wasnā€™t working. 100,000-5000 = 95,000 / 1000 = 95 ball devices
