How to squish a player

Cool idea! I just might add that if I have time, let me know if you want it a wiki so you don’t have to wait on me.

You could use this same concept and make Piranha Plants from Mario.

Done and done :D
Sorry I didn’t show the Gim getting eaten, it wouldn’t load in, maybe tomorrow. It’s the same concept as the original squisher(or is it squasher..), there are two sets of the piranha plants, each to their own trigger

could you also make a guide to add on to this by making a squish effect other players can see?

if that’s possible maybe

What do you mean? Its global so the timing is the same for everyone. Do you mean a d3ath effect?

Why does the guy respawn on the other side? Really good guide though! can you make the mechanic of the giant wooden ones in the first Mario castle in the one where you start in Yoshis house? They start coming out from the ceiling then slam down.

Lol, it’s a separate room, you spawn there to begin Level IV. I was just running back and forth as a demonstration

Sneak Peek

I’m not familiar with those…can you send a picture or a gif, so I can recreate it(?)
Edit: Wait do you mean the Thwomps @Stealthknight2

I mean that you could make a colored border appear after you get squished

Uhm I’m thinking of two things @Gim_God

The player gets squished, and a checker will run a check to see whether or whether not the player died in the zone, and if the player did indeed die in the zone of the squishier a barrier will appear imitating the squished player (the skinny blue barrier)

The player gets squished, and a checker will run a check to see whether or whether not the player died in the zone, and if the player did indeed die in the zone of the squishier, a d3ath message will popup up on the screen

Which one, or none

I like number 2. The design (which is what I look for in a game) is really cool! I’m excited for when this comes to discovery!!!

Whoah that death screen is amazing. I know you didn’t ask for critique but if you had to change anything just make the text either brighter or a different color.

Also an improvement would be to the 1’st one not to have the blue barrier, but when the barrier comes up it shows a flattened Gim that floats away like paper.

From a earlier reply:

Super Mario World (SNES) – Part 2 – DeadPark

This is all I could find…

It’s from super Mario world castle it slowly comes out from ceiling that falls suddenly.

I think it’s probably that color to match the background but I agree, making it a different color would be a good change

Oh cool, so not a thwomp but like a piston coming down form the celling. I’ll see what I can do.
