How to make non-breakable dynamic blocks (mini-guide)

A tutorial for how to make your dynamic blocks not break!

Have you ever noticed that dynamic blocks break? Ya probably did, But having players break walls, get blocks, and do other diabolical things isn’t something we want, some I’m here to explain how to fix this!

1.Place dynamic block terrain wherever you want your wall.
Make sure it’s as a floor, so there isn’t any hitbox to hit.
2.Create a barrier, totally fine if you need more than one
Make your barrier completely invisible(This guide keeps the outline to show where they are)
3.Shape the barrier to completely cover the blocks

You should have something like this

Now your pickaxes/gadgets will hit unbreakable barriers instead!

What if your’e in a platformer? You can’t make floors!
No worries! Just make sure the barriers overlap a little.
Kinda like this.

You can make cave wall, maze, etc with this. Just be creative!
Tell me if I need to add anything, I’m super new at forums

Welcome to the forums, please read the rules.

Are you making a guide, or are you asking for help on this topic?

Oh great, let’s get this over with….;-;

So, here’s the problems

  1. It’s easy to make non-damagable blocks
  2. There’s no guide.

Guys, no need to reply, just flag. (This is the 2nd or 3rd one already, why? ;-; )

Im just making a tutorial, thanks for asking!

Sorry LOL , first post here

Maybe add more to the guide and place this in the community made guides category?

Ok, maybe finish the guide before posting lol, but you’re new. Just keep that in mind next time. Also, make sure this is in Community Made Guides .

  1. Welcome to the forums @Zappy_Zaptos !
  2. Is this help or a guide?
  3. Its pretty easy to do this

This is also a good suggestion, instead of “How to make nonbreakable dynamic blocks” how about you name it “A list of cool things to do with your dynamic blocks!” Just make sure to add more.

That’s fine, but try to add more to the guide before posting, and add images!

Also: ELABORATE! Give reasons why we want to use this, and add more uses.

Alright, I can add some pictures and how you can use this.

Add more things if that’s possible too!

I think this may be acceptable as a mini guide, if you added images. I’ll add the tag…? (if there is one)

Better hurry, as a Basic, you’ll have limited editing and responding time.

You just gotta wait, be active and participate in coversations, also just don’t waste you post limit, you got a few for the first day. Just try to edit your posts so you don’t waste post amounts. Edit: What did I just say- Just use the heart below the post.

Ohhh ok, Thanks for explaining

heya!

I’m bored out of my mind rn so I’ma just do smth fun and y’know kinda give some constructive criticism. you obviously don’t have to really listen, but it might help when making a guide!

remember, this is just my opinion so please don’t fight me!
(my capitalization isn’t working rn, button refuses to press half the time)

INTRODUCTION:

So you really didn’t have an introduction… which is kinda a problem. Introductions are one of the most IMPORTANT aspects of a guide. an introduction lures someone in, and welcomes them! I would always say to write a really good introduction, so your audience feels welcome!

FORMATTING:

I’m so very disappointed with your formatting. there is NOTHING. NOT A DROP. c’mon man, go format! there’s even a mini guide on it if you do the beginner tutorials. put some effort. Using formatting makes it 10x better

EXPLANATION:

well to be frank, there is none. You listed out steps, but you didn’t say why it works. you didn’t explain it in any shape way or form. it would’ve been better if you added something like, “The barrier prevents players from breaking the dynamic blocks!”

REASON:

The point of this section is not how you wrote the guide but why. Based off how much effort you put in, I can tell you didn’t write the guide to help people, you wrote it to farm likes, views, and popularity. The forums arent a place for this. If you’re going to post something, do it for the greater good. Lets be real, this was common information.

CONCLUSION:

Same as introduction, you basically have none. In a typical conclusion you would mention what you did in your guide, then bid your farewells. You basically wrote nothing, and that’s not really amazing. Put some effort in! It will make the guide SO much better.

So in conclusion, I feel like if you actually put effort into. guide it could be 10X better. Lets put some effort and make a good guide next time! Have a nice day!
