How to make a speed upgrade/downgrade

Step 1: Go to “Add”

Step 2: Go to “Devices”

Step 3: Type in “Speed Modifier”

Step 4: Place the “Speed Modifier”

Step 5: Click on the “Speed Modifier” and look at it’s options.

Step 6: Below is what will be changing

Step 7: Then change it to the desired number

(0.5 = half speed, 1 = default speed, and 2 = double speed) You do not have to use just those numbers, you can use any number 0-2.
After establishing what the player’s new speed will be, we can now make a speed upgrade. Follow the instructions below to make a speed upgrade.

Step 8: Go to “Add”

Step 9: Go to “Devices”

Step 10: Type in “Vending Machine”

Step 11: Place the “Vending Machine”

Step 12: Click on the “Vending Machine” to see the options menu of the device.

Step 13: Change the “Purchase Action” from “Grant Item” to “Transmit on Channel”

Step 14: Go to “Required Item” and change it to what you want the player to pay for the speed
upgrade/downgrade.

Step 15: Go to “Required Item Amount” and change it to how much of what you selected in Step 14 the player will have to pay.

If you want the “Vending Machine” to have an icon, so the players can easily identify what the upgrade will be, continue on to Step 16, but if you do not want that, skip to Step 20

Step 16: Click on the ellipsis (the three consecutive dots) in the top right corner or your screen

Step 17: Click on “Appearance”

Step 18: Find “Item Image”

Step 19: Type in the box under “Item Image”: icons/speed.

Step 20: Go to “Add”

Step 21: Click on “Wires”

Step 22: Connect the “Vending Machine” to the “Speed Modifier” This is what you should see:

Step 23: Select “Item Purchased” and “Set player to Configured Speed”

Now you have successfully made a speed upgrade/downgrade!

Indeed. Simpler times those days were when I was actually able to understand more than half the guides made.
