How can i make a hunger bar

I am trying to make a dessert survival game but i am having trouble with the hunger and thirst bars dose anyone know how to do that

Well, you can give players something, like a food item, and slowing drain it from inventory to mimic hunger.
The same can be done for thirst, as you can use the water item, and slowly drain it from the players.

Then the players can replenish their hunger/thirst by giving them some those items someway.
