Help Making Cutscenes

So, I have started working on my next Gimkit Map! I make the map while my friend Tsuyosa, does the code. But we are going to need a lot of cutscenes in this map, and that is the one thing that I and Tsuyosa don’t know how to make. If anyone knows how to make these, please let us know. I would also like the cutscenes to be animated and have visual conversations going on in them between characters if that is possible.

To do the chat, you’ll need the season pass, and use the dialogue and character devices.

use camera points and triggers

Thanks, but I was wondering how to make a more complex cutscene than this. This is a basic one which I know how to do, but I was hoping for animated or characters talking in the cutscenes.

If you have the season pass, you could use the moving sentries and dialouge to make this movement.

Off Topic

If you happen to figure this out, can you share the method with me somehow?

You could do timers and popup devices with sentry’s that hide them and show them to make them look like they move

Okay, I have an idea, and I’ll make a brand new guide about it…
Might be a sec though…

if you want moving cutscenes too just follow this

Clean Cutscene Transition | 1/10

Since you are able to host a season ticket event, I assume you have the season ticket. If I am wrong, I am sorry.

To activate the cutscene, activate a camera point (Obviously). Then, activate character placement, however or wherever that might be. The Dialogue Device can detect when it’s closed, so when it is closed, go to the next lines(s) of dialogue.

As the dialogue continues, you can deactivate/activate characters to spotlight different parts of the area, perhaps highlighting key parts of the map or quests.

I hope this helps!

define moving wolftechnology

Walking, thats is the form of motion needed in the cutscene. Its to have the characters move in and of the screen

so there was a bug where sentries could actually walk?

I think moving sentries are still possible in platformer.

If the sentries are in the air, they fall due to gravity. They can fall inside a teleporter and teleport, but a sentry spawning on top of it sadly doesn’t teleport them.

but didnt they recently delete sentry interactions?

The sentry interaction was from item granters and relays and such. The item granter could remove the gadget from the sentry, but Gimkit said this was a bug, and removed it.
