I’ve been working on a platformer for a while now, the main gimmick is that it’s in fragility mode and there are sentries on every couple platforms. You have to avoid getting knocked off, while defeating the sentries to get items. Does anyone have more gameplay ideas?

Bosses and puzzles? Like, A Puzzle you have to do to get to the next level.
I actually already have both already, (sorta) the first 5 sentries each drop keycards that you have to craft into a key and open the door.
Then how about a big sentry that’s a boss fight?
Moving platforms maybe?
(every game I’ve played has some type of platform that moves)

Lasers with enemies between them and maybe secret paths and endings?
Gameplay idea: Memory level. Make invisible barriers and force people to memorize them. The only way to see them is when they sometimes flash a little.

Platforms, Sentries, NPC’s (If you have season ticket) All the good stuff that should be in a platformer.
You could add an small cardboard city area where you could heal or trade, or unlock different weapons with cheat codes or something.
