The ULTIMATE Holiday Prop Tutorial (Part 3: Festive)

Hello! Today I will be showing you how to make items that are represented in the Winter (this is the last tutorial of this series).
Check out Part 1! The ULTIMATE Holiday Prop Tutorial! (Christmas: Part 1) Avg. 0/10 ⬜
Check out Part 2! The ULTIMATE Holiday Prop Tutorial (Part 2: Hanukkak/Chanukah)

Origin: Holidays in Winter first originated all the way back to when the wheel wasn’t even invented! Farmers wanted a celebration for when the harvest season was done, so holidays in Winter had originated. Even today, we are still decorating for this holiday.

Layering Bugs

*If you don’t know where the layering button is, go to the bottom of this text
Welcome to this tip! This will help you with item layering when an item goes behind an object.
Step 1: Get the time you want to be on top and move it to the above layer. You can keep it like this, but it doesn’t look nice to me.
Screenshot 2024-12-04 1.05.43 PM
To fix this, just move the item down until it touches the primary layer. After that, it should work as long as you don’t move it.

If an item is still on top of your character even in the primary layer, click the three dots and click reset to natural depth. This should solve the problem.

Simple Icicles

What you’ll need:
x(any amount) Metal Poles, light blue, slightly rotated left and right
Step 1: Turn off collision and shadows or else it will look a bit funny. Step 2: Put these on the roof of your house or area, at all wacky angles. Step 2: Make sure all of the icicles are behind the roof, if you are putting them on a building. Your final product should look like this:

Simple Pine Tree

What you’ll need:
x1 Snowy Tree
x(any amount) Seashells, Cone shaped, Brown
Step 1: Layer it so that the seashells are on top of the snowy tree (click on Layering Bugs if you’re having trouble with this). Step 2: Place the seashells randomly, but make sure they’re touching the black lines in the leaves. Your final product should look like this:

Wreath

What you’ll need:
x1-4 Leaves, pointed, yellow

x3-4 Ceramic Plates, clean, red
x1 Kitchen table, green, holed
Step 1: Layer it so the leaves are on top of the ceramic plates, the ceramic plates are on top of the alien plant, and the alien plant is on top of the table (if you need help go to Layering Bugs). Step 2: Resize the table and place it on the ground. Step 3: In a random order on the table, place the ceramic plates, and alien plants. Try to leave the center hole open though and not cover it too much. Step 4: Place the leaves in a way where you can still see the ceramic plates, even if they are not fully visible. Step 1: Place the ceramic plates on the bottom of the wooden signs. Make sure to resize them so they’re tiny. Step 2: Get your snow pile and place it on top of the wooden signs. Step 3: Place the cutting board above the snow pile and add the bicycle rack on top of it. It should be above the cutting board, but below the snow pile (Layering Bugs for help). Step 4: Get your other 2 metal poles and color them red. Place them on the sides of the cutting board. Almost there! Step 5: Get your metal sign and color it a tan color. Place it above the cutting board, but make sure it’s below it in layers. Finally, place the barrel above the metal sign. Your final product should look like this:
