The Guides Debate

I have seen tons of WIPs lately, created by new users.

The problem? They either don’t finish them, or don’t get the chance to finish their WIP guides because of the 7-day editing limit.

From now on, I propose that we abolish WIPs entirely for new users, as they are causing a lot of trouble. If you have the ability to create wiki posts (however, WIPs should be rarely used and only created in special cases).

Thoughts?

We will also discuss… GENERAL GUIDE INFO!

Please don’t argue or start any arguments here. This is meant to be civilized discussion.

Or, we could only use WIPs in extreme cases.

i hate that idea dude

I agree for right now, there was over 10 wips made today, so there has to be a limit on it.

Actually, lemme revise. WIPs should only be used if you can create a wiki post (but very rarely, only in serious cases).

You realize drafts exist, right?

or… they could make an off-topic topic

Off-topic posts aren’t okay, it violates the rules.

The words

‘Abolished… entirely’

Jumped out at me. here’s the deal… we make WIP’s flaggable and make it up to the morales of the user.

Yep. Shall I discuss this with… the mods?
