SSB Recreation Character Ideas

For characters and stuff
Please keep good balance

My game is a fragility-based Super Smash Bros Recreation.

Please format like this:

  • Character Name (A title or name)
  • Starting Fragility (Default 0% Please)
  • Gadget + Gadget Rarity
  • Ability 1
  • Ability 2
  • Optional passive ability
  • Icon/Emoji (To represent stock)
  • Anything else (Notes, photos, etc.)

I already have created the characters, “Retro”, “Summoner”, and “Electro”.

Retro uses an uncommon pixelator and an ability called pixel storm that looks like the image below, but I need one more ability idea.

Summoner uses a rare slingshot, but has no abilities yet.

Electro uses a zapper and has an ability called Shocker that gives them a 5x boost for 10 seconds, but needs another ability idea and possibly a passive.

I also need game mechanic ideas and map ideas :slight_smile:

Orkan
O% at beginning
Gadget : Evil eye , epic rarity
Ability 1 : Orkan automatically teleports to the center of the map when ability is used
Ability 2: Beserk rage increases damage by 100% for 3 seconds
passive : Every 15 seconds , orkan regains 35 health

Additional stuff : The first ability can only be used 3 times.

Starting Fragility: 0%
Pixelator (Rare)

Ability 1. Burning Furnace:
Increases damage by 1.5x for 20 seconds, at the cost of 15% Fragility
Cooldown AFTER the 20 seconds: 30 seconds

Ability 2. Flame Absorption:
Has a 95% chance to heal 20% Fragility, and 5% chance to heal 100%
Cooldown: 60 seconds

Passive. Heat Runner:
Normal speed is 1.25x

Character ideas:

DL (or dark lord)
50% fragility cause it’s gonna be a hard character
Evil eye, blue or epic (you choose)
Ability 1 - makes a dark barrier appear all over the map till the game ends
Ability 2 - gives an evil eye for 15 secs (make legendary)
Icon: :angry_face_with_horns:/ :angry_face_with_horns: / angry face with horns (name)
Anything else - make it a rare one because they are really powerful

Apollo (yep it’s you :slight_smile: )

You choose (idk but make it blue)
Ability 1 - (seen as your fav. gim is dodge) go really fast (to dodge) for 10 secs
Ability 2 - have a few sentries spawn on the map to protect you
Icon - (idk) this? :fox: fox (name)
Anything else - if these characters are bought by money, make this one expensive, if not, keep it a normal one

Miner
0% again
Stone buster (is that what it’s called?) ,green
Ability 1 - gives 5 dynamic sand to use as a blocker
Ability 2 - gives a epic pickaxe to use
Icon - :pick: pick (name)
Anything else - (if you can do this) only let the player use this when there are 3 people (or diff. number)

Magic
0%
The wand one (is it woodwand?), blue
Ability 1 - instantly heal themself fully, 15 sec cooldown
Ability 2- spawns invisible (visible to only themself) barrier which they can use to run away
Icon - :magic_wand: magic wand (name)
Anything else - make the 2nd ability have some sort of cooldown, idk what but also make it only able to be used 3x in a match

  • Character Name: Lightning
  • Starting Fragility: 10%
  • Gadget + Gadget Rarity: Blaster: (Rarity: Rare)
  • Ability 1- Lightning bolt: (Spawns lasers that take away 60 Fragility, around the map) (vertical)
  • Ability 2 - Volt strike: (Damage and make other players deal 60 Fragility)

Has an uncommon pickaxe and 50 cobblestone (also an uncommon slingshot)
Has a teleport ability “this is an en—“

Nah but actually here we go. (This will be edited)

In smash ultimate there is a single move type that infuriates most, (which is why I main piranha plant),PROJECTILES!!!
So why not a projectile based character
Character name: Tech Chase
gadget: quantum portal uncommon
Stock icon: :tada: or :boomerang: or :bow_and_arrow:
Ability 1: this would have a long cooldown (minimum 23 seconds). A laser activates (starts offscreen) for a short time. (Maximum 2 seconds). The laser should do minimal damage since its purpose is to catch opponents off guard. (Maximum 25) This laser would likely cut through the stage at a weird angle. Having the laser damage the user isn’t a bad idea either.
(Angle suggestions. This is not offering two this is just two choices for the kit)


I don’t think a second ability is necessary for such a weird character. I’ll suggest one anyways.
Ability 2: Once again a long cool down. (Minimum 30 seconds) This ability would set the damage multiplier to 1.3 for a short time. (Maximum 4.5 seconds)

Map ideas.

Stage hazards are very fun.

Maybe a small zone (respawns player) in lava. You could recreate the most annoying stage on a smaller scale :joy:

Classic battlefield or final destination would be an easy choice

Another stage gimmick could be items.
Obviously they would spawn after a long cooldown.
Giving gadgets would be way too overpowered.

May I present……. HEALING ITEMS!!!
(Game overlay would appear once you gain the item and disappear after consumed)
Gim berry heals 50 (rarest by a significant margin)
Pepper heals 15 (medium rarity)
Corn heals 5 (most common)

Only one would spawn every cooldown

Character Name: Grim Night
Starting Fragility: 100%
Gadget/Rarity: Quantum Portal (Uncommon)
Maybe Ability 1 - Hearth of D3ath (1st alternative - Grim Night gets a 2x times damage boost) [2nd alternative - If Possible, summon fire in a certain location of the map and start adding burning damage for 10 seconds]
{Cool Down: 20 Seconds}
Ability 2 - In the shadows (Grim Night looses gadgets but becomes extremely fast)
{Cool Down: 14 Seconds}

Starting Fragility: 50%
Gadget: Evil Eye (Uncommon) Dynamic Ruby (10)
Ability 1: Set On Fire (Flames ignites himself and anybody he touches during the duration of the ability takes flame damage over time)

2.) Ability 2: Burning Hot (Flames upgrades his gadget to a epic evil eye for 10 seconds)

Royal Rage
Receive a 1.5x speed and 2x damage boost for 20 seconds, 1 minute cooldown.
Ability 2:
Lord Of Lightning
Summon lightning lasers in 3 random locations, each dealing 40 damage.
Passive Ability
Storm Sight
Locate a random player every 10 seconds

Map Idea
Chilling Cliffs
Uses a all the snowy props and terrain, is a very vertical map, so if you fall, you might catch yourself, but otherwise will fall to your demise. All players experience a .75x speed debuff due to cold, and screens will randomly white out in blizzards.

Gadget: Any, randomized upon match start

90% chance to lose a stock, 10% chance to gain one.
One time use per match.

Ability 2: R4Y TR4C1NG
Replaces current gadget with a Legendary Blaster for 30 seconds.
30 second cooldown after use.

Passive Ability: C0PY
Use your opponent’s stock icons.

Icon: Again, uses the opponents.

char name: rage bait(ed)
starting fragility: 40%
gadget: portal launcher,(medium) rare

1 locked active ability “rage fueled explosive peanut”: you bite off a piece of the peanut giving speed and dmg buffs for 5 seconds and increase a random player’s fragility by 100

one passive ability aka “festering rage”: for each time you get knocked out you gain one rage stack (max of 4)losing 1-2 rage stacks every time you knock a person out
and at max rage stacks unlock an active ability with 1 one use resetting rage stacks after the use of said ability

A2: Can “molt” and heal by 100, and you teleport to random area on the map.

Retro Ability 2: Deletion
Effect: Retro has 10 secs to defeat an opponent (10x power boost). If completed, heal by 100, and defeated player is forced to spectate. If lost, Retro is forced to spectate.
