oke so
I make games like Roblox Doors/Roblox Pressure/Roblox Grace
and if I do say so myself my brain fries itself every time it tries thinking
and sooooo I need room types
cannot be a WHOLE Saferoom level (cannot be 10 doors)
that’s pretty much it.
more context is it’s an old 1.5 star apartment.
so liek
doors is like a horror game where the player has to go through 100 rooms to win
but there’s entities
entities that try and oof the player before the player escapes
instead my game has 70 rooms and no same entities
doors can randomly generate random rooms
there’s many (you can search up)
I need idears for em
The boiler room
An old boiler room that also functions as a storage room.
In this room you may find items that can help you throughout your journey. There can be toxic gasses and dangerous entitys in this room.
naur no one lives there anymore; and the janitor or Greg isn’t paying 19,000 gimbucks for a small room (and door 0 exists which is where is basically the receptionist/lounge room)
clicker and Malware r technically variants of each other but both have the opposite mechanic but same lore and stuff
(also memory low af)
also clicker and Malware disappear starting Saferoom 6 (water rooms so they cant reach the player)
Howzabout a circuit room? Like, the place that controls the Wi-Fi, electricity, and heat of the whole building? Some of the tech-related entities could spawn there.
naur there’s no wifi in that apartment, hence why most ppl left
clicker and Malware have SEPERATE wifi from the apartment sooooooo
yea no reason 4 that
I believe I mentioned something about a room from your topic Entity Ideas no. 9 that you could use. But anyways, here’s a new room idea: Disco Room
Appearance: Disco tile floor and Dark Scraps walls, with maybe 3-5 props that fit (like the space control table for the DJ stand.)
Function: Is a warped room the further you get through it. Make a camera view that shows the room and set player speed to 0 when they walk in, but a few seconds later teleport the player to a longer version and set their speed to normal. The farther they get, the slower they get (0.85x at the end). No entities spawn here, but they player will get the message “don’t look back” if they try going left. If they don’t make it out within a minute or go left for a few seconds (yes it’s possible to detect this), oof the player (and possibly add a jumpscare of a black screen?).
Frequency: There’s only one of this room, and if you can, make it have a 50% chance to appear/be used each run.
