Is there a way to make it so that when a player is knocked out there is a cooldown before they respawn, and they can view the spot they were knocked out at until they respawn?
Is the player being KO’d by another player, a laser, or by a respawn device?

I don’t think it’s currently possible, then. You can make the player a spectator for a little bit of time before respawning instead. I’d only do that if it’s a multi-player game, though, 'cause if not there’d be nobody to spectate ;-;
yeah, it is a multiplayer PvP map, so how do I make it so that they spectate for some time? Also , I don’t want them to spectate, I just want them to see the spot they were knocked out at
I don’t think you can have someone look at the spot they were KO’d at. You’d hafta have the thing that KO’d them be able to wire to a speed modifier, that to a delayed trigger, to a respawn device, and even then the player would still be able to see themselves. Like I said in my last post, you CAN have them spectate, possibly for a certain bit of time (I’d have to test it out in Creative), but that’s the only thing similar to this that you can do. Do you want me to figure out and explain the mechanics for after-KO spectating?
Yeah, makes sense. I had to test it out first, 'cuz I thought I had a mechanic that would swap you back after some time (a few mechanics, actually, something in blockcode might work) but it’s definitely more likely that it wouldn’t lolz
ok, but is it possible to have restrictions as to where they can spectate? If not, then please still explain the after-KO spectating
I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that once a player enters spectator mode, they can’t exit it until a new game starts
Spectating allows them to see any person on the map in any area. Additionally, what @Grahamathan15 said is correct and it is impossible for a player to exit spectator mode until the game ends.
No you can’t, they’d remain spectator for the rest of the game.

It still wouldn’t be able to work with player KOs and lasers, only running into a zone or something like that. Do you want me to tell ya the mechanics for it?

for this to even make sense, you’d need an overlay that displays your coordinates

A coordinate device would detect your coordinates and update a property when you get knocked out.
when you respawn, a popup tells you where you got knocked out with the saved coordinates.

Looks like neither. To show where you got KO’d at, you’d need camera points all over every inch of the map, which is insanely memory-abusive. If you switch them to spectator, they can’t come back as a normal player. Arr0w_Shaft has a good idea, but to the max of my braincell power rn, it only shows the coords where you got KO’d at as a notif/popup? Correct me if I’m wrong lolz
Random Update: You CAN make a respawn cool down without KO area view by boxing up the player for a little bit, I think.
