Intro
Since there a lot of Help topics asking for tips and tricks and some and a half of Community Guides on how to do it, this is a resource for that. Now be aware, this is NOT a resource for game IDEAS this is instead a resource for game TIPS , this is meant for what to put in maps to make it more likable and attractive (unlike most of the games on trending, no offense)
Guides (these are not mine, please give credit and praise to the original guides)
This is a mapmaking guide fueled by my annoyance at low-effort and play-begging maps.
Greetings everyone! I’ve put together some tips and tricks for building an enjoyable Gimkit map. This is inspired by other documents of the same general idea.
#1. Play begging/farming.
Please do not play beg! Play begging is the act of writing a description with something similar to “play my map please please please every 100 plays i add a summit”. PLEASE finish your map before publishing, or if you’re plann…
I already made a poll, and ~80%~ of the voters wanted me to make a guide, so here it is!
Try not making a simple idea, then making it sloppy, which is probably why you delete them, because you don’t like it. Having 10 bad/mid games is worse than 1 awesome one and this applies to a lot of things in life, not just Gimkit Games.
So try planning it , think of an idea. Think of details, plans, easter eggs and all the criteria of making a good game, then make it, w…
Hello, everyone! Today I will be pointing out some things in GKC Maps that I think should be fixed.
1. Health
2. Items
3. Description/In-game text
4. Title
5. Working Mechanics
6. Good Thumbnail
7. Score
8. Music
Recently, despite this guide, i have seen many flaws in games, mostly because of score, items, health, and music. Please make your game more enjoyable and professional! Most (if not all) gamers appreciate professional qualities in games.
If you are unsure if your game is innap…
I can’t use exact numbers as examples because it varies too much.
A good Gimkit creative map have lots of plays. Here is how you can improve your plays for your creative map and improve it.
Fact #1. I have noticed that platformer maps are more popular than top-down maps. This is due to the popularity of Gimkit’s Don’t Look Down game mode. Platformer and Don’t Look Down maps usually require some kind of parkour. However, I feel like that there should be more Top-Down maps that are popular. But …
Alright. Can I tell you something? Go onto the GK Discovery page and play any random game from the grab bag section. Low-quality, right? This guide will teach you how to make good maps. (No offense to the maps)
The first tip is MAKE A DEVLOG. This can help you keep track of what you’ve done and what you need to work on. Put anything into your devlog, glitches, ideas, problems, etc. (You don’t need to share it. It could be a google document)
The second tip is to make notes! This is like a dev…
Hello there.
It’s chunky. Today’s topic will be teaching you a few things everyone should understand when making a gimkit creative game. It’s about the way of building things, and how to be more efficient while building.
Why is this important?
Let’s first understand the first section we’re discussing about: over-working. If you’re doing more than you need to in GKC, it’s easy to mess up, waste time, and spend a lot of energy being frustrated.
Let’s start with an example.

Hey there,
I’ve rewritten this prologue of sorts several times now, because I initially wanted to introduce game design as a concept, but then I realized a table of contents would be helpful, and then some kind of brief explanation about the rename and rewrite was going to be needed- so this is hopefully the final version.
Anyways grab a penguin and some popcorn and uh yeah!
