Grace. The new doors-like game on Roblox. There have already been guides (Shout out to @Gimkitsuggestor) and recreations of doors. But Grace is a little bit diffrenet. Instead of taking your sweet precious time going around searching drawers it’s is fast paced. And when I say fast-paced I MEAN it. Most rooms take 1-2 seconds to clear. And the entites aren’t forgiving either. So it seems like doors but faster. But there’s 2 things holding us back from re-creating this in GKC; the timer and the infinite run time. You see the reason it’s so fast-paced is because your on a time crunch. About 2:35 to be exact. But if you make it to the end/checkpoint you get more time to go further. So yea kinda clay-insitute here but maybe we can re-recreate this.
Ah okay now. So…hm. That is a predicament. So, the timer would obviously be a counter increment down. Then when the checkpoint is reached, more time is added, but you can’t necessarily ‘add’ time to the counter. What if instead of a timer, you would have ‘seeds’ or something in your inventory, that, for every second, is taken away. Then, when the checkpoint is reached, you can just add more seeds to add more time. And a checker also to make sure if the seeds run out the game ends or whatever happens in Grace.
What exactly do you mean by ‘‘infinite’’ run time?
When you enter the checkpoint have it broadcast and have the reset counter variable receive on that channel.
For the infinite run time, I would just say the same rooms over and over again, but if you want each room to be different, you could do a thing where a randomizer is activated to create different versions of the room. A little tedious but might help with the ‘infinite run vibe’ thing.

Anyways, sorry for the rant. @Ar3s3nal what are we trying to research. Don’t just say “recreating grace”
No. Then it should not be in devices.
For someone who regularly makes Roblox games on Gimkit, grace is actually kinda easy to recreate.
For doors to go through, put a zone and when player enters the zone, hide barrier or whatever door model you want.
for the sliding mechanic, make a game overlay that when clicked, it makes you “slide”,
by making like 10 triggers and speed modifiers, and make the triggers have a very very low delay so it makes you slower as you slide. Make sure to add a trigger that when game overlay pressed, hides the game overlay and add another trigger back to showing it after 3.25 seconds or whatever time.
For grace, i’d usually make the walk speed about 1.75x speed.
if you made it seeds, you wouldn’t know how much to give. if it was 54 seconds you saved, you’d have 54 seeds, but you would then have to make like 234 different seed amounts. (which definitely takes at least 5 memory and VERY time consuming.)
@yaypie just because you know doors and grace does not mean you thought of every circumstance of Grace trust me there’s some components to this that are beyond your understanding
