If I were asked to describe myself on the forums I would say that it’s not as high on my priority list anymore. I still visit every day but it’s mostly to check and clear my notifications.

I’m not addicted to the forums like I once was. Honestly, that’s an overall positive thing, but negative in a way that I feel disinterested because of the current structure of the forum. I get to focus on my life more and less about the stuff that goes on in here.

I finally understand in an empathetic way why Jeff decided to demote all of us. It’s not really his favorite thing in the world to moderate. He didn’t sign up knowing he was going to moderate in advance.

He joined (the company) wanting to help it grow. I’m not saying he’ll never moderate. I’m not saying he’ll never respond to forum drama. I’m not saying he’ll abandon the forums.

Since this site is owned by Gimkit they are required to give some moderation rather than none. Jeff and Pharlain have volunteered the most to moderate the forums and Discord out of all the staff.

They don’t have the time to moderate every hour of every day of the year. Pharlain responds to emails about non-forum support. Jeff helps Josh.

They have other things internally to focus on. The forums just take too much of their time to be on here all the time. Jeff tried to instate community moderators, but it ended up taking up a lot of time with internal moderator drama.

It always amazes me how people have the audacity to say the forums are doomed or Jeff is a horrible moderator. When Jeff demoted us all, people were saying that, but the thing is not everyone knows what happened internally to the TL4s. There were definitely times where it wasn’t the prettiest.

We also accomplished some cool stuff like the forum events. I’m not sure why Jeff removed the latest event… I should go contact him to find the reason. I want to contact him about a clear structure for future TL4s too. I guess I got so much I want to do between emails and projects but can’t find the time to do it.

Speaking of projects, check out ‘slims-official-website.web.app’. I might update it eventually. Sorry last week’s update hasn’t come yet. I also might update the domain in the coming future. We’ll see.
