It does say that the random value is unique to the machine and process, but I don’t think it contains the Machine or Process ID

and this is Mongo?

Yes, here’s the link:

I have a feeling that the Machine and Process ID are combined into 5 because from what I see both are 3 and 2 bytes which add up to 5. Everything else seems correct with what I have.

It also mentions machine and process.

Yeah that would make sense cause both of them together is 10 chars, and one hex value is 2 bytes

Here’s an id, taken 5-4-25@10:51:05 CDT

I don’t really see the need of this, since we already figured out the timestamps are correct, but for fun I checked it out and I got 10:49:20 May 4, 2025.

So it’s true then, that the id is generated when the server starts

And it is local time

Just figured how to decode the player id and get the real date using only blocks and properties. I’m going to make a guide now

Can’t wait to see it - maybe link this topic?

Don’t worry I’m linking all of the resources.

I just realized… it’s now possible to deploy, say, an April Fools update, and have it automatically be activated on April Fools.

Do you just check for when a section of the ID is greater than a certain number or something?

I didn’t read much of the entire thread but I presume that you can see what time it is relative to the player…? (not sure if this is true). If so, you can change the sky color to be bright or dark depending on what time it is for the player. Again, not sure if this would be possible or not. Ask Blueboat.
