Creating thumbnails is a part of advertising and clickbait, thus it isn’t necessary for a game – it’s literally borderline “Gimkit Creative”, and no, it’s not “suddenly” against the rules, it always was in the first place, and I’d know this more than anybody else here. Either way, we REALLY don’t need thousands of thumbnail posts flooding the site and it doesn’t hurt just to make one by yourself anyway. Like, I get it, the forums is a place to ask for help, but you should be asking people to create something for you – asking for tips on how to actually create these thumbnails is much more beneficial rather than just piling and piling on other information that is actually helpful to the people here, and asking someone to just create something for you doesn’t help anybody learn anything. Intrinsically, this isn’t even bad either, but you’re just gathering all of these posts which take away from the essence of basically everything else here. If you just cannot fathom the idea of doing your own work and learning from it, just commission them elsewhere that doesn’t create distractions from the reason that these forums were made (which is to actually help people learn about Gimkit Creative), which I’ve yet to see any thumbnail help post do and I’ve tried. (also ello wingwave!!)

thumbnails are allowed it not against the rules and doesn’t adverstes if that was the case then gimkit itself would be breaking the rules.

there are plentiful amounts of thumbnail tutorials here, and if you cant quite grasp them, go to leo_flowers or VoidFluffy’s padlet!

I’m neutral with the situation, I understand what both sides think. People don’t want thumbs nail request because it takes up all the forum post and people debate if it is allowed or not allowed which was decided by the community because no moderator made a statement about it. On the other hand, the Gim forum is kinda dead because there would be no problem to solve but even if there is, it would probably get solved instantly or they would say that they figured it out. Really the only thing keeping this community alive is because people actively engage in thumbnail making and requesting. Keep in mind this is unbiased opinion.

The main problems cited with thumbnails is that they are only vaguely related to GKC, and they tend to clog of the forums and become the only thing there. Point is, most people, especially those with flagging power, are against them, so there isn’t much that can be done.

By all means, go ahead. Just keep in mind a lot of people don’t think they should be here, or if they are they should be in a different category. I don’t think the staff will agree with the idea of thumbnails coming back as they were.
