whats the smoothest way to make a transition in a non-euclidean game
Hmmm… What do you mean (I have 0 idea what non-euclidean means lol)
How are you possibly making a non-euclidean game in GKC? It’s 2D!
You… good luck with that.
Exactly. Can you tell us what you mean?
a game where the postulates of euclid don’t follow
example: “the shortest distance from two points is a line” is a postulate in euclidean geometry but may not be true in non-euclidean geometry
Look, I… how are you planning on doing this? Because I don’t really think it’s possible (without using a GKC rendering engine, and those are still pretty primitive) in GKC right now.
im not
Bro, I’m learning euclidean geometry, and what type of geometry are you using? Hyperbolic? Spherical?
???
You mean, not in GKC?
Show us the game, so that we know what exactly you’re doing.
If this isn’t in GKC, it’s pretty off-topic. Can you please clarify what you’re trying to do, how, and whether or not you’re planning on using Gimkit Creative?
Help me Turtle.
teleporters
Okay, that’s a start…
Might need some more information?
make a string of teleporters, and when you teleport through one, you teleport through another.
so ill make exact replicas of certain rooms and use teleporters and camera views
so that was the plan but the transition isn’t smooth enough do you know how to make a smoother transition
Something with triggers and wire repeaters idk.
Let the player fall through them, if it’s a platformer.
Otherwise, use triggers and tweak the delay so it’s a little smoother for each teleport.
good idea!!
ok
