So a bomb weapon or a landmine.

If you are trying to make a bomb that is carriable it is quite impossible but may be possible in the future. A landmine is possible though.

how do you want bombs to work? are they planted in the ground (landmines)?

A landmine is actually pretty easy. Put a trigger down that is invisible and has collision. Have the trigger when triggered (this happens when you step on the trigger) → activate laser beam. There can be multiple laser beams that are activated at the same time and they can have multiple sizes
