[ Mini Guide 🤏 ] Make a secret password! [ Takes >1% memory ]

I’ve seen maps with passwords that you have to enter using triggers or buttons, but that’s difficult in-game to enter stuff like that, and kind of annoying.
Well, I have a beta version of text input using a questionnaire!
Yes, I kind of explained everything you need to do now and you probably might just go, but keep reading. I have some really neat mechanics that you’ll want to see!

Step 1 - Make a kit

This is simple. Just go to Gimkit - Kits and make a kit.

Name it something like “Secret Password” if you want.
Now, just add 1 question, and make it a text input question.

Now I just did a simple 4 digit password.
I doubt anyone could guess anything longer than that.
Copy the link of your kit.
Anyways, you’re done with Step 1!

‎

Step 2 - Go to your map in GKC

Now that you’re in your GKC map, add a questionnnaire device.
Make the link for the kit the one you copied, and paste the link.

I just added some basic channels to mine.
Now you have the basics done!
On to Step 3!

‎

Optional: Step 3 - Making sure the player does not learn the password after answering incorrectly

This part is so simple. All you need to do is add 2 triggers, one for when you answer wrong and one for when you answer right! Make them trigger the same channel to close the questionnaire!
That’s all!

Thanks for reading, you’ve earned the :point_up: badge!

Buh-bye. :duck:

Hmm… This guide is not showing up on the forums…

Nice guide.

Sorry but this has been made before

Oh, it has? Can you send the link so I can add it to the guide? Thx

Problem is this doesn’t work on published maps.
That’s why we use other methods.

Here it is:

very good guide! very simple and easy to make. I will definitely use in my game!
