Hi guys, kor here. Just a quick question, how do i make something top down look 3d? Yes, i know the layering tech, that’s not what i’m asking. How would I make something like stairs that go up a hill? I need it for my new game.

Is it possible you could provide an example of the hill or map type?
No, I don’t. All I need is making something like stairs that wraparound a hill and makes it look like you’re going up – I want to have more than one level of stairs

Get small dark rounded shadows under the edge of each step with dark barriers, these shadows should become smaller as the steps get higher. Make the steps closer to the bottom of your screen and lighten the color of the stair texture as it gets higher up the hill, and side walls to the stair that are a bit darker than the steps.
