I would personally just make the lobby a little bigger/wider or more spaced out. Besides that it seems fine, but I’m not a lobby specialist.

to accommodate more players, a bigger lobby would be better.
Then split the bigger lobby in rooms, I guess
then add like little retro characters:
kinda like that, I guess

the problem with that is I’m almost at barrier and text placement limit

I guess another idea is to tone down the colors of the things in the lobby down (gaming chair, etc)
and add more like that,

Cool idea! For the lobby, each player is in their own room waiting for everyone to get ready, and the in-game is, well, the game they’re playing.

you should also add barrier/pixel art of super Mario bros 3
and maybe sonic since those are retro I guess
