Anyone know a device that could work similar to an LED?

Maybe Laser Beams?
Lasers + zones?
Text device?
Or barrier props?

Text could work. Use a black barrier behind the text, and make the text like pink or green, it’ll make it look neon. Also, you could add more and more transparent barriers of the same color to add a glowing affect.

Maybe a laser with a neon color above a dark ground.

Maybe custom shapes? You can color them and make them whatever size you want them to be

Just make a text with a “.”
Color it and give it a big outline
Maybe make it slightly trasperent

So what exactly are you trying to make with LEDs? Do you just want some cool-looking neon lights? Do you want it to change colours? Are you trying to get it to glow?

Some ideas:

  • Black or very dark background (using opaque barriers, for example)
  • Text using periods,[1] asterisks,[2] vbars,[3] unicode stars,[4] or other unicode characters.[5] Make sure you use unicode instead of emojis, because the latter doesn’t recolour.
  • Vivid and saturated colours
  • Neon signs (easiest with custom shapes)
  • Reference pictures of actual LED lights
  • Put multiple translucent (low-opacity) circular barriers of different sizes behind the lights to make a glow effect

I’m trying to make LEDs for a logic circuit so I just want them to be square and turn on and off when triggered

Use Barriers and Custom Shape devices. They can be changed to any color you want without there being a preexisting color mixing in, for example a blue prop being tinted to have an orange color will make it look brownish. Barriers and Custom Shape devices don’t have this issue.
