Invisibility (Impossible?) šŸ¤” UPD w/ POLL

I think ALOT of community members have asked this questionā€¦ Is invisibilty REALLY impossible? I mean, thereā€™s got to be a way. Anything is possible! (o7 Blackhole927) Any ways, Iā€™ll try to test ALL ideas you have for me to the best of my abilities. Hoping for some answers, JaydoPotato

What we have so far:
Here are a few examples

  • Teleportation. Teleporting the ā€œinvisible playerā€ to an exact replica of the room they were originally in. The problem is, we do not know how we would replicate other players Gims on the replica roomā€¦

  • Barriers. If you use a barrier with no collision for the whole map, and use a smaller barrier to cover the player and follow them wherever they go. The problem is, it would be very memory consuming, and if another player got close to the ā€œinvisibleā€ player, they could become invisible tooā€¦

So far, some pretty good suggestions!

Idk, try using no collision barriers over the whole map which activate for everyone else once the designated player goes ā€œinvisibleā€

you could teleport the ā€˜invisibleā€™ player to a room

or you could put a layer over them

or you could add a barrier that blocks the player out of view

or you could just turn them in to spectator mode.

What if if you clicked it, everyone couldnt see but you because its all black?

the device that Josh the great uses is not currently in GKC but there are other ways to do it

Well, you cannot make the player invisible to attacks, we can possibly make it invisible for other players.
To do this, maybe put a blackboard prop or a barrier device and tint it completely black. Then resize it to fill the room. I recommend using a game overlay.
To do it, set the game overlay to button, name it whatever. Add another game overlay, and set the settings for the second game overlay to Text. Connect the button game overlay to the text game overlay. Then connect the button game overlay to a relay. The relay must have All Other Players option used. Then connect the relay to the blackboard or barrier(make sure it has no collision), and connect the button game overlay to a trigger. Set the Trigger Delay to whatever. Thatā€™s the cooldown. Connect the trigger to the barrier or blackboard, and make it so that when triggered, it will hide it. Connect the trigger to the text game overlay and make it hide it, then connect the trigger to the button game overlay and make it show it.

The only way to do this currently (that I know of) is to have a barrier (1.00 transparency) under the entire map, then non-outlined barriers that with the exact same color that follow the player using coordinates.

Why not just use a barrier instead of a clunky blackboard prop?
