Invisibility (Impossible?) šŸ¤” UPD w/ POLL

invis is impossible the games that have them are there because when josh made the gamer he programmed them to have invits its final INVIS IS NOT POSSIBLR

But I just made invisibility possible (Well, @NoNoWahoo didā€¦), @adagio_sostenuto

invis is when you can run/walk around your gim and not bee seen

If thatā€™s what you think. Iā€™m pretty happy with what I got, especially because GimKit can be limited at times!

Actually, if you make a big barrier, (You can even change the colors to make it cooler) and do the same thing I mentioned, you can walk around being invisible

well techniaclly you cant do it the proper way like invis bits

Thatā€™s the point, we donā€™t have invisibits, so we are trying hard to find a way to do without themā€¦ (Donā€™t mean to sound rude, sorry)

Doesnā€™t ā€œSurrendering to Despairā€ have it in one level where youā€™re partially transparent?
Itā€™s that old-ish level with ā€œwaterfallsā€ or things

Yeah thatā€™s what Iā€™m thinking.

Make sure it has no collision but itā€™s almost impossible to make a player ā€œtrulyā€ invisible, seamlessly blending in to your environment with barriers is a challenge in its self.

Good question though!

Your method is slightly inaccurate, as you need a lot of smaller barriers to follow the player in order to make not everybody invisible.
A downside is that if a player goes near the invisible player, the player will become invisible.

First, letā€™s define invisible. Invisible means that the player is there but canā€™t be seen by other players, but all the surroundings can be seen by other players. Letā€™s rule out getting hit by projectiles. In essence, you turn into a ghost. So youā€™ll still be able to interact with buttons, zones, lasers, and whatnot.

As discussed previously, it is not possible to do this with the gim at the spot where the player is. The only way to currently show the player a screen where the gim isnā€™t is by using a camera point. But then the player canā€™t interact with buttons or lasers (you can emulate zones with some clever shenanigans). With some more tedious work, you can teleport the player to a second, dummy button if they are within a radius of the real button. With lasers, you do the same trick as zones. But now, what about collision? That is very easy. First, you upload every barrier into a 2d text array and constantly retrieve data with each step. And gadgets? No worries. Just ban them in your game. Tag zones? Donā€™t use them. And most importantly, donā€™t worry about your lag as you have to compute collision.

Both still works actually, if you want to use a barrier for it, then go ahead! I donā€™t mind lol
