A chat isn’t possible, a quick chat is.
A quick chat is basically a system of notifications with premade mssages like “Hello” or “thanks”

Idea/lore!

I think you could base your idea around strange disappearances. Like maybe the game starts out with a cut scene or flash back of the city/subway full of people. The main character (the person playing) grew up there, so they have sentimental attachment to that town. However, they leave the town to pursue their career, marriage, or college (doesn’t really matter where they went, it just matters that they haven’t been in town for a long time). Twenty or so years later, the main character decides to go out and visit his hometown. On the way, he sees missing posters of people from his town. He doesn’t think much of it at first, until more and more start to pop up. The type of people missing vary from old ladies to young adults. When he finally reaches the town it’s deserted, clearly abandoned based off the poor upkeep. Determined, the gim searches for clues on finding who or what caused the disappearances/abandonment of the town.

Now before you say Rainbow, that’s more of a mystery game rather than a survival game!, I was thinking that maybe the main character would encounter monster like creatures or have to face several life threatening situations on his expedition. I think it could be a cool concept.

I mean apocalypse games are good, which is why a lot of people are recommending them. I just think it’s been done so many times it’s become a little boring. Although that would probably be the easiest thing to make via gimkit creative
