How about different endings?

make one way that is more difficult, but shorter, and one way that is easier, but longer.

Got it! A super easy way to do this is sentries. You can make more of them super easily, adjust dificulty and health, stuff like that. Speed modifiers also add a different element to things that shake the rhythym up nicely.

Hey, so I’m a little confused based off your wording :sweat_smile:. Does your game have a theme? DO you already have any ideas down? Are you looking for one easy way and one hard way or multiple easy and hard ways? If you could answer those questions, that would be great :smile:

OOOH so if you want different endings, here are some you could do.

Different Endings

So there are definitely many ways you could do this!
If your going for a theme or something like that and have multiple quests or characters/sentry’s it’s best for one of these. VVV

  • The “Good” ending: ( Like a reward for playing the game correctly, or the game makers main ending.)
  • The “bad” ending: (This happens when the main person makes absolutely terrible decisions in the game, goes off track, doesn’t play the game correctly and ends up lit di Cough cough failing miserably.)
  • The “true” ending: (Hidden behind specific requirements. like collecting all little objects and reveals the truth behind the plot. Maybe like waking up and realizing they were in a dream.)
  • The “bittersweet” ending: (the main person wins but at a great cost.)

Choice based endings VVV

  • The “selfish” ending: the main person doesn’t help at all.
  • The “Self sacrifice” ending: The main person is not selfish and self sacrifices.
  • The “walk away” ending: the main person just is very mature and lit doesn’t give a cra p.

Joke endings!

  • The "early"ending: the player does the main part of the game early or just sits in a room for a long time… and gets this ending
  • The " Actual Joke" ending: you should just put a lil rubber duck in the corner that is able to be clicked. then the player gets this ending when they reach 100 clicks or 50. lol
  • The “fourth wall” ending: this is honestly kinda unsettling to the main person who is playing. where the characters realize they are in a video game and directly ask the player to turn it off, but it glitches and the "game " stops the characters from finishing their sentences. Ends up having all the characters go to the default sentry skin.

@bakedpotato you can tell it’s ai because you see “global variables” and why would you use those and wire repeaters for civilization level :sob:

Yeah… it is.

Flag me if you want to, but just wanted to see…

If you want a long, easy ending, you can modify sentry dificulty or give damage and speed boosts (if you wanna). Or, minigames can be entertaining as well. Blastball (score 10 points to exit!) could be great (I’m probably gonna think of some more stuff later…)

How to do this

Place down a blastball and make sure they have a gadget… then add a ball capture zone. Make a counter target the number “10”, and wire the zone to the counter (ball captured > increment counter). Then, wire the counter to the thing blocking you [for example, a barrier). The wire is (target value reached > deactivate/hide prop/barrier). Pictures will be put down later!!!

Just like giving speed and damage buffs, you can also nerf them by setting the speed/damage to 0.5, halving the effects.
