How would I make fireballs from bedwars in gimkit

Basically in Minecraft bedwars you throw a fireball and it explodes the blocks around where it hit

idk if there’s an item that acts like a fire charge, but i know of a gadget that acts closely like a fire charge
I believe its called Quantum Portal

you can’t really do explosions, the closest we have is the timekeeper.

there’s no way to create pseudo-projectiles yet (as far as I know), but there is a discussion going on about this, if you would like to contribute, you may find your answer there.

Here you go:

Maybe you’ll find something here that will help

Well is there a way to make swords without using pickaxes because I’m using it for well, pickaxes

You could use a evil eye closest thing to a fire ball

In my opinion, it’s more of like a snper

I don’t think so

no. there isn’t a way to make a carry-able sword gadget without a pickaze

Sure but it still could work as a fireball if not maybe a quantum portal

True, but we want a higher range of blocks broken, evil eye only hits one

Technically, if you wanted melee stuff, you could use coordinates to find out if anyone is in a damage radius around the player, and damage whoever goes in the radius when the button is pressed. But this is complicated and I’m too lazy to explain it fully. Basically:

Use coordinates to find where the damage radius is (yellow barrier)
when overlay pressed, use coordinates to determine If someone is in the radius. If there is someone there, damage them
If someone is not, don’t damage them.

Let me know if I need to explain this further.

Couldn’t technically make the map smaller and make4 props follow the player and if they get broken then they get deleted

There is a guide here for pseudo projectiles.

Right, first off fireballs just aren’t possible in Gimkit right now because:

  1. Pseudo projectiles would have to work extremely well and accurately (in case your wondering they don’t work particularly well right now duh)
  2. There would have to be a system that then detects where the projectiles hit and then destr0ys all the props in a radius around that space (definitely not possible right now).

Swords without pick axes are almost certainly possible currently and I’m working on my own system for them rn but they are still very complicated to make.

So please just give us time and something will be worked out at some point in the future.

The timekeeper has splash dmg so maybe that could work

If you just want prop destruction stead of aoe damage, just use a regular timekeeper for the fireball and enable prop damage

no, that is impossible, YET. but if you want to represent fire ball you could use a pixelator.

It still wouldn’t work because fireballs create fire when they explode and we would then have to devise a method for working out how long the player has been in the fire for and then make a damage system based off that. Yeah, really not possible.

I think we can either put this topic on hold while we wait for a new Gimkit update or just close it down as none of this seems to be vaguely possible anytime soon. The closest possible is the timekeeper with prop damage enabled.

actually, we can use the lifecycle device, when like we fire a ball, it shows around it fire, but then we need to know where did it land
