A few days ago someone needed help with their map for night/day cycle and I had a good guide so I will share it with the rest of you in case anybody else wants to know.
Make a black barrier by going into appearances and hanging the color to black
Turn of collision
Spread it across your map to make nighttime and layer it to be above players
Wire it up to something (the device\prop you wire it into is based on your map) so it should look something like this (Depends on the device) -----> Activate barrier
Do the same thing again for nighttime but it should look like this (Depends on the device) -----> Deactivate barrier
This is not a wiki,
please remove the tag.
Also, this is to short,
short guides tend to get flagged.
You CAN put the mini-guide tag on there, but i dont think it’s THAT overpowered to get someone out of flagging.
I would add more pictures.
Maybe add more words if you want to make it longer? Like instead of “1. Make a black barrier” you could say “First place down a barrier, tint it to black and set the the transparency to 1. After that turn off collision” and then split it into different little sections for each step
Place a Barrier and set the tint to completely black ; R: 0 G: 0 B: 0
Layer it above the player and have it cover the whole map while also turning off it’s collision.
Wire a Device that trigger’s the night segment to the Barrier ; ? > Activate Barrier
For the Daytime trigger, simply perform the same task as Step 2 but instead ? > Deactivate Barrier
