How to make a turn-based system

turn-based games, they are amazing, but it looks like we cant make them in gimkit, but, your wrong
Im pretty sure they are correct
Actually, they aren’t, im making a turn-based game, and im gonna use the information ive learn to share
Alright then

Enemy Health

First place a counter
IMG_0813
Set the amount to the number you want (ill do 10) and make it decrease when (channel) happens

Last, in target, make sure its on yes, have it at 0, then have (winning channel)

normal attack

To make a normal attack, use 3 triggers (make sure they are like that)

Then set the two closer to the counter, with the channel when triggered and set a delay of 0.25 (so you cant glitch)

The further one should be wired to one of the two
IMG_0820
The one connected to the wire, should have a wire, that triggers the other wire
IMG_0821

Wow, this looks easy enou-
im not finished yet, just wait gimbit
Aw

resting

You will need to use a trigger, and a item granter

Wire up the trigger to grant the item

Set the item granter with (item you want) (ammount you want)

Are you finished
No
Okay, ill wait

healing

To do healing, you need a trigger, vending machine, and a health granter

Wire up the trigger to purchase from the vending machine

Set the vending machine’s price and item to (price you want) (energy item, same as resting)

Wire up the vending machine to when purchased, grant health

Last, set the grant health to (amount of health you want) and if you have shield change the type of health to (health then shield)

damage

You will need a damager, and a trigger

Make sure the trigger has a delay (0.3/0.6 works) and deactivates when you win

Put a wire that makes you take damage when the trigger is triggered

Make sure the option triggers will trigger the trigger that damages you, use wires to do it (dont connect the healing with the damage)

Alright, we are done
Yay, i now will talk again
no, you wont
Why not
Your annoying
Yea right
just shut up

if christmas

Well can i just say merry christmas
oh yea, its christmas, Merry Christmas everyone
I want to be free
we are connected, you cant leave
Oh yea, i forgo
ugh, but, have a happy holiday everyone

if not christmas

Well, can i just say Mer-
its not christmas gimbit

Awesome guide! First post! This is very interesting.

Is this the beginning of a new trend?

Also, try adding an ‘explanation’ section at the end, so that way people can understand what you are doing in the end.

Some reason I’m thinking off a mother giving their child a time-out. You should give that to Gimbit.

Hey Alstra, how do you think of Epi320
gimbit… nevermind, just ask this one question, no more question though, okay gimbit, i dont wanna get a flag for being off topic
Alright, fine

Ian, I found that there are also many guides on this:

But we all use different mechanics.

Anyways, good job Ian!
You should have a “how it works section.”

Hi! Number 1, I’m Astral, but u can call me Sammy. Number 2 umm, I guess he’s nice, but sometimes very inconsistent with Grammer, and is sometimes too imaginary. He needs to be more consistent on pictures, formatting. but if he’s pretty smart. Also I am not a she, nor a he, I am a Astral/Sammy.

Ian, I also think you can improve on formatting, but you have a lot of good pictures

nice guide

This is a nice guide, but can you improve on your grammar and sentence formatting? The lowercase "i"s are hard to read.

I agree with Blizzy, nice guide, could be improved, but also I really like how there are, two versions of yourself.
