Guide Criticism Time!

[1]

Guide intro:
A classic formal approach to the introduction, starting by listing yourself, some pre-read info, and a disclaimer.

I can’t say I have anything against this intro.

Intro rating:

10/10

This category does not affect the final rating.

Grammar:
I like distinguishable, well-written guides. I can confidently say that this meets high standards!

A point-out:

When using italics, refrain from using quotation marks around them. It will improve the look of the text, and still visually mean the same thing.

You can also substitute the quotations with an em-dash [2]

Edited example:[3]

Small suggestion:
If you replace the “and’s” in your article with an ampersand, it gives off a much more formal approach.

Grammar rating:

9.1/10

Approach:
This guide’s voice is a very clear, monotone, “First, you must do this. Next, you must do that.” I don’t sense a personality to it, and it’s basically whispering in my ears, “I do not tolerate funny business.”

Guides with a favorable approach[4], tend to stick out better to the audience, boosting the amount of likes you’ll get and the overall positivity of the readers.

Of course, that clearly doesn’t apply to this guide, considering you have a massive 48 likes!

Voice rating:

4.5/10

Formatting:
I am always picky on this aspect, so you should never expect a perfect rating from me in this category.

The formatting in this guide is better than 80% of the guides I’ve seen. I really like that you went through the time to learn some markdown for your guide!

Small suggestion:
Drop-downs can either make or break your guide. Turning your whole guide into a bunch of drop-downs is not visually appealing. Breaking them apart with text is a great way to solve this issue.

Formatting rating:

8.6/10

Final rating:

… (drum roll)

7.4

This is a guide significantly better than most guides out there.

Good work!

Thanks for reading!

Thank you! Sad you’re leaving but good choice on focusing on your life. :hand_with_index_finger_and_thumb_crossed:

you had potential :3

This can work in both I’m pretty sure. As long as you have all the devices available in platformer then it should be good.
