How is this physically possible?

I was playing a platformer game, and it had the option to make/input a save code. I put press the generate button and it had actually made a randomized code??? 1. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? 2. even more unbelievable, I could make a input, he had buttons from 1 - 10, i put in something that was not my code, and it said “invalid” then I put in my actual code, AND IT WORKED!!! I EVEN REFRESHED THE GAME ON A COMPLETED DIFFERENT HOST ID, AND THE CODE STILL WORKED??? SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME!!!

Edit : Also when I was putting the code in, text appeared with the exact same code, and it wasn’t staying in place either, the code was Being ADDED to the text bar

What? How sis you input it? It is possible, but still…

Here’s a guide on save codes
Save Code with Encryption! (Around 5/10 difficulty).
These save codes don’t actually store data in a server but instead each part of a save code mean something else. And of course each part of the code is encrypted so user can’t just try random combinations.
