How do you make a bedwars game unique?

I need to make a game unique like 3 lives or smth

maybe add random events every 5 minutes?
like everyone is slowed for (insert time here)
OOH! it could be kool if there were someone like a betrayer who has the option to betray their teammates :>
and maybe you could buy allies (like buy something and a sentry with let’s say an epic prickler activates around the map.)
maybe an oof streak, and the more oofs you have, the more powerful you get!

I know many ppl are gonna say “There are guides on this :nerd_face:” But you are look for unique ideas so I have some ideas!

  • Good game mechanics
    This is key for your game if you want it to be unique! Try to make your game have its own playstyle that isnt like the other “Bedwars” games.
  • Special items
    Make some type of item in your game that makes the game feel more like your game and not like the others
  • Main Topic
    Make your game have some type of topic! Just like Bedwars has the “bed” make your game have its won topic like item wars or something like that!

How do i make good game mechanics?

You could add power ups
Here are some ideas

  1. Amour - shield regeneration
  2. Strength - 1.25 or 1.5 times damage
  3. Plentiful - you get some ammo and blocks every few seconds
  4. Siphon - you get health and resources every time you get a KO or just health
  5. Speed - You get 1.2-1.5 times speed or more depending on what you want
  6. Healing shots - Every time you fire you have a 1 in 10 chance to heal a random person on your team (Watch out this power up can be really broken if you have fast firing gadgets in your game)

You can also tweak anything you want about any of these power-ups :slight_smile:

Things in your game that give the play a different feel when playing. Take Forsaken for example! They use ability’s as their own mechanic to make the game more fun. Or like in Bedwars how they use a shop system.

  1. What about a fireball mechanic that can knock other players and allows you to use the blast for your advantage
  2. What about multiple map variations chosen by random (keep them far from each other so they don’t accidentally go to another map by jumping)

Well , about the fireball mechanic, you can explode yourself as well and it will give you a controlled bounce that would allow you to jump to other islands.

Well the interesting part of the thing I am saying is, the fireball would be powerful BUT you take a risk it hurts you

Using buttons and teleporters… (So when you click a button named “Blast Fireball” that’s connected to a teleporter, you “bounce” to a different area)

Use a lifecycle that is set to when gadgets fired then use a true or false property for if they have the power or not and it only heals if property is true.
