How do you make it so that when you press a button a barrier appears by you no matter where you are? It will be in a small arena and I have a lot of memory left.
I’m pretty sure you can do this with player tracking? Well, actually, no. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m not sure this is too possible. Exactly on the player, probably not. You could have preset barriers set to activate when a player triggers it, but that’s not really efficient. do you want that to happen? I’m sure there’s another way.
I want a shield to be made around them
okay, do you want the barrier to follow them? If so, that’s not possible.
you might be able do do something with the player coordinates device
Hmm, this is an interesting concept. Like blackjack stated, it is impossible for it to follow the player. I don’t think barriers have block code though, which makes this really difficult. Since you can’t use the coordinate tracker that uses properties.
yeah, i looked they don’t.
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking, but I haven’t been in Gimkit in a while, so I’m pretty rusty with on the spot knowledge. Barriers have no blockcode option, so properties and coords aren’t an available here.
Welcome DiscoTurkey! Please read the guidelines it gives u a badge.
Only available option is pre making barriers? Or using zones.
No, I want when they press a button, a barrier appears by them. It doesn’t move.
That still wouldn’t be that possible to do. The only way would be activating a zone or something that can detect where the player is. The coordinate device requires properties, which is off the list when dealing with barriers.
alright. Like me and WSG said, you can use pre-setted barriers, but that would, quite frankly, be really and overall dingy. So, quality wise, not possible yet.
Please don’t just welcome someone if you have nothing else to contribute with.
kinda simple I never used player tracking before but I assume I work like this:
button pressed → active player tracking → player tracking activated → active barrier or smth like that
Player tracking isn’t going to work since barriers can’t connect with any sort of tracking device. I don’t think waypoints would work either, right?
Once again, no blockcode option. All of that is out of the picture, I’m afraid.
maybe you can have a small zone that activates a map overlay button that activates a barrier when they enter, and deactivate it when they leave?
But you can wire the player coordinates device to a barrier
Things would be much simple if they added normal codes block code is kinda confusing
